    Governor Bago Praises IBB as a True Nationalist on His 82nd Birthday

    Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger has hailed former Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, as a genuine patriot and nationalist as he celebrates his 82nd birthday.

    In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago praised Babangida as a dedicated patriot and nationalist who has played a significant role in shaping the history of the nation. He emphasized Babangida’s contributions and sacrifices to ensure the unity and survival of Nigeria.

    Bago highlighted Babangida’s unwavering commitment to nation-building, underscoring its importance in maintaining both national and international unity, as well as fostering the development of the country.

    The governor further stated that the policies and programs implemented by the former Military President during his tenure are still impactful and enduring. He recognized Babangida’s expertise in governance, diplomacy, and public service as a guiding light for future generations.

    Bago extended his warmest congratulations to Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, referring to him as a living legend. He praised Babangida’s decades of selfless sacrifices, acts of bravery, and courage, which have positioned him as a role model for the nation’s development.

    The governor concluded his statement with a prayer for Gen. Babangida’s continued well-being and good health. He expressed hopes that Babangida would remain a source of wise counsel and guidance, contributing to the growth and progress of both the state of Niger and the entire nation.
