    Gov Diri’s 6th Anniversary: LG Chairman, Segibo applauds Diri’s devt. strides as the administration clocks 6 by Feb 14

    Hon.Target Segibo, Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, has commended the development trajectory of Gov. Douye Diri.

    Segibo also appreciated the entire team of the Prosperity Government of Bayelsa State as it marks Six years in office.

    Segibo described the milestone as a testament to deliberate and purposeful leadership and strategic governance.

    The Southern Ijaw Council made the commendation in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary,Mr. Ayebaitari Easterday.

    According to the statement, Segibo commended the administration of Governor Douye Diri for what he described as unprecedented developmental strides particularly in the area of roads construction, building of new schools and Health facilities.

    He listed the Yenagoa -Oporoma -Ondewari road, the Yenagoa -Otuan road, the Yenagoa -Eniwari road as well as the Angiama -Oporoma bridge which he said Governor Diri has achieved within the last Six years in office as remarkable landmark.

    The Southern Ijaw Local Government Council Chairman said the governor’s performance aligns substantially with the Bayelsa State Master Plan.

    He explained that the Diri-led administration was deliberate in its adherence to the yearnings of the electorate.

    According to Segibo who is a pioneer member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, the Prosperity Government has demonstrated commitment to infrastructural renewal, institutional strengthening, and human capital development.

    He noted that the administration carried out development in manners that have positively impacted communities in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.

    According to the statement key projects executed under the administration have improved connectivity, stimulated local economies, and enhanced the overall standard of living .

    Segibo noted that beyond physical infrastructure, the Gov Diri-led Assured Prosperity Government deserves commendation for fostering unity among the diverse interests, political blocks.

    He also observed that Diri is committed to building sincere bridges across party lines and a strong institutionalized Local Government administration in the state.

    Segibo expressed conviction that the people of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area will continue to enjoy more democratic dividends from the Assured Prosperity Government with the Central Senatorial Road hitting the Atlantic.

    While calling on Bayelsa people to continually support Governor Diri’s administration to achieve targeted results, Segibo prayed to God to grant Gov Diri good health and the needed public support to enable him finish strong.
