Ginika, the ex-wife of Davido’s media aide Israel DMW, has addressed accusations that she contributed to the breakdown of Israel and Sheila’s marriage.

Following Israel DMW’s public outburst over their separation, he implicated Ginika in the dissolution of his marriage. In response, Ginika took to Instagram to clear her name, stating that she was not involved in their break-up.

Ginika explained that she was initially surprised by the news of the divorce and reached out to Sheila to understand what had happened. She advised her friend to resolve the issues without knowing the full extent of the situation. However, as more details emerged, it became clear that Sheila was mentally exhausted and would not return to the marriage. As a friend, Ginika felt compelled to support Sheila.

She firmly declared her innocence regarding the accusations and expressed that the defamatory claims on the internet had adversely affected her mental health and work.

In her statement, Ginika emphasized, “I had no hand in the separation between my friend Sheila and her ex-husband. Initially, I was surprised by the news and called to find out what was wrong. I advised resolving the issues, but as things unfolded, it was clear Sheila was mentally drained, and I had to support her as a friend. I had nothing to do with the separation and will never be a party to separating marriages. All claims against me are wrong.”

The public split between Israel DMW and Sheila, who were married for less than a year, involved allegations of irreconcilable differences and domestic violence. Israel denied the allegations of physical abuse, claiming he tried to meet Sheila’s standards but was ultimately criticized and shamed.

Sheila countered these claims by revealing how Israel tried to cover up his flaws by spoiling her and her family. After their separation, Israel advised men to avoid Sheila and married women in general, and he publicly appealed to Sheila to return her bride price according to customary acts, noting that only the Federal High Court could legally dissolve their marriage after two years.
