According to Buruk, Victor Osimhen’s contract has a January clause that allows him to look into possibilities with different teams during the January transfer window.

Buruk made this claim in an interview that was posted on the Turkish champions’ official website. In the conversation, Buruk covered a number of team-related subjects.

Osimhen is eager to stay at Galatasaray until the end of the season, Buruk clarified during the interview.

He pointed out that although the player has a transfer clause, he has stated his desire to remain with the team, which he has done since arriving.

“Osimhen has always stated that he wants to stay here until the end of the season,” he remarked. Although there is a provision pertaining to January transfers, the player’s decision, and he feels committed to staying.”

Buruk reflected on how the team was able to hire Osimhen, saying, “I went to Milan when I could. I’ve lived there for three years and feel at home. Instead of talking about football during my stay, we spent two days having dinner together, which improved our connection. We discussed the options during a video conference at the airport following a game against Adana Demirspor, and following thorough discussion with the president and our transfer committee, we finalized the transfer.

After talks with Chelsea and Al Ahly failed to come to fruition, Osimhen joined Galatasaray on the last day of the summer transfer window. He adjusted to his new surroundings fast, making a substantial contribution with eight goals and four assists in just nine games.
