According to Sadiq-Aliyu, the arrest took place on December 19, 2023, based on credible intelligence. Operatives from the Bakori divisional police headquarters, in collaboration with members of the vigilante during patrol, successfully identified and apprehended the suspects.

The arrested individuals are identified as Sharhabilu Dahiru (20 years old), Abubakar Tukur (25 years old), Kasamanu Abdullahi (20 years old), Abdulrahman Shu’aibu (20 years old), and Sulaiman Sanusi (20 years old), all hailing from Kakumi village, Bakori LGA.
