Central Bank of Nigeria CBN has received an award from the Nigerian Economic Society NES in recognition of its contributions to economic reforms aimed at strengthening the nation’s financial system and supporting macroeconomic stability.
The award was presented during an event attended by economists, policymakers, financial sector stakeholders and members of the academic community. The NES commended the apex bank for implementing reforms designed to enhance transparency, improve market efficiency and foster sustainable economic growth.
Speaking at the ceremony, representatives of the society noted that the CBN’s policy measures have played a significant role in addressing economic challenges and creating a more resilient financial environment. They said the recognition reflects the bank’s commitment to promoting sound monetary policies and supporting national development objectives.
Receiving the award on behalf of the institution, CBN officials expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Economic Society for the honour, describing it as an encouragement to sustain efforts aimed at strengthening the economy.
