Football fans worldwide now have another chance to secure seats at the much-anticipated FIFA World Cup 2026, as the global football body has officially opened the Random Selection Draw, the third phase of ticket sales for the expanded 48-team tournament.
The entry window, which opened this week, will run until Tuesday, 13 January 2026, at 11:00 ET (17:00 CET). FIFA emphasises that the timing of entry within the window does not affect applicants’ chances, meaning all entries submitted before the deadline will be considered equally.
Nearly two million tickets have already been sold across earlier phases, including the Visa Presale Draw and the Early Ticket Draw.
With the release of the final tournament schedule on 6 December, this phase marks the first opportunity for fans to apply for single-match tickets based on confirmed matchups — including who plays whom, where, and when in the group stage.
Applicants can select: Specific matches; Preferred ticket categories and Number of tickets per match (subject to household limits)
Successful and partially successful applicants will be notified by email and automatically charged for their tickets in February 2026. A “partial success” means the applicant will receive some — but not all — of the tickets requested.
Fans must enter via FIFA.com/tickets, the only official ticket platform. Those with existing FIFA IDs should log in and submit their applications and New users must create a FIFA ID account before applying.
Ticket prices remain unchanged throughout this sales phase.
Supporters of qualified national teams may also apply for Participating Member Association (PMA) Supporter Tickets starting Thursday, 11 December, subject to meeting eligibility criteria set by each football association.
Fans seeking guaranteed access or premium experiences have additional routes: Hospitality packages (via FIFA.com/hospitality), provided by On Location; Qatar Airways travel packages, covering tickets, flights, hotels, and transportation and FIFA Resale/Exchange Marketplace, opening 15 December, for fans to buy or resell ticket allocations
FIFA urged fans to review the FAQs and legal documents on its website. Entry into the draw is free, but winning automatically triggers payment via the authorised payment card. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
The FIFA World Cup 2026™, jointly hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico, is set to be the biggest tournament in the competition’s history — and demand for tickets is expected to be unprecedented.
