Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has taken to social media to praise President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, hailing him as a compassionate and fearless leader who has taken charge of the highest position in the country.
In a lengthy post on his verified Twitter account, Fani-Kayode expressed his admiration for Tinubu’s strong leadership, emphasizing that he will not tolerate any belittlement of Nigeria by the international community.
According to Fani-Kayode, President Tinubu has brought honor, strength, self-respect, dignity, resilience, and faith in God, fostering an environment where Nigerians can take pride in their identity.
He wrote, “There’s nothing more beautiful, powerful, and inspiring than a confident, educated, courageous, and enlightened Nigerian who appreciates the rich and noble history of our people and the great heritage we derive from.”
The former minister also lauded Tinubu’s government for standing firm against the international community’s disregard for Nigeria and its people. He assured Nigerians, regardless of their location, that they have a strong and caring government, with a bold President who will fight for their interests when faced with injustice or discrimination.
Fani-Kayode highlighted President Tinubu as a symbol of the new African leader, refusing to bow down to those who view Nigerians and Africans as inferior.
His message comes at a time when Nigerians are grappling with increased hardship due to the recent hike in petrol prices. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited (NNPCL) announced a new price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as fuel or petrol, leading to widespread backlash against Tinubu’s government.
In response to the criticism, Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of NNPC, attributed the price increase to market forces during a meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Aso Villa.
