Peterborough United’s Chairman, Darragh MacAnthony, has strongly advised Arsenal to secure the services of Brentford’s Ivan Toney during the January transfer window. MacAnthony is confident that Toney’s exceptional technical skills could propel Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season. He expressed his belief that Arsenal should have chosen Toney over Kai Havertz in the summer transfer window. Toney, who joined Brentford in 2020, boasts an impressive record of 68 goals and 21 assists in 124 games for the team. Despite currently serving an eight-month ban for breaching gambling regulations, he is set to return to action in January. MacAnthony emphasized Toney’s potential, stating, “If Arsenal sign Ivan Toney while leading the league in January, it’s a guaranteed title win. His outstanding technical abilities make him a game-changer.”
