Comrade Ini Ememobong MNIPR, the Commissioner for Information in Akwa Ibom State, has been successfully elected as a council member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Ememobong garnered a total of 867 votes, securing the second-highest count, closely following Dr. Sule Yau Sule who earned 868 votes. These votes have earned Ememobong a position as one of the 17 distinguished members of the Governing Council of the institute.
The election transpired over the course of Thursday and Friday morning, conducted right after the Annual General Meeting/Conference of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, titled Abuja2023. This year’s conference was centered around the theme: “Leadership, Public Relations, and Value Creation.”
Announcing the victorious candidates, Chief Casca Ogosu, the Chairman of the electoral committee, praised the substantial and unprecedented voter turnout in this year’s election, marking a significant milestone in the history of the NIPR.
Ogosu elaborated on the fact that 28 candidates contended for the 17 council membership positions, highlighting the intense competition and enthusiasm witnessed in the election process.
