El-Rufai’s Son Rejects Allegations of EFCC Finding $800 Million, ₦700 Billion at His Home

He maintained that the accusations were untrue and a deliberate attempt to damage his reputation.

There have been rumors that the EFCC found ₦1 trillion worth of narcotics, $800 million, and ₦700 billion in cash inside El-Rufai’s Kaduna home.

However, El-rufai, the current House of Representatives Member representing the Kaduna North Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, insisted in a statement provided to Naija News that he does not own an apartment in Kaduna but rather their family home in Unguwar Sarki, where he has lived since birth.

He claimed that the baseless accusation was nothing more than a conscious effort to deceive the public, damage his reputation, and plant doubt.

“My constituents, whom I represent, are aware of the consequences that would arise if I were endowed with such figures.” Adding quality, frank, and honest representation is here to stay in Kaduna North, and I promise those who are funding these foolish attacks that we will continue to serve the people and love how it irritates them.

In addition to being defamatory, he said, “the use of fake news to manipulate public perception and instigate discord is an affront to the principles of justice and fairness.”

He insisted that the money that certain media organizations pay for their lies will be used effectively in Kaduna North and that his legal team would take legal action against them.
