    Edo Deputy Governor Appoints Aghedo as CPS

    The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Dennis Idahosa, has appointed his long-time media aide, Friday Aghedo, as his Chief Press Secretary (CPS).

    The appointment, effective from December 2, 2024, was officially communicated in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor, on Friday.

    Aghedo brings a wealth of media handling experience and leadership skills to the role. He has previously worked with Idahosa in similar capacities since 2019, following his election to the House of Representatives, and continued through Idahosa’s transition to Deputy Governor.

    Aghedo’s career also includes serving as Press Secretary to the Chairman of Ovia South West Local Government Area, Destiny Enabulele, and as Deputy Director of the New Media Committee for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign.

    With a BSc (Ed) in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Benin, Aghedo is also a blogger and the publisher of infopowerng.com.
