    DSS Seals Speaker, Deputy Offices in Lagos Assembly

    According to reports gathered, by 10 a.m., armed guards had taken over the Alausa, Ikeja, property and were thoroughly inspecting everyone who passed.

    It is crucial to note that the former Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, who is currently facing legal issues, has started a lawsuit against the state lawmakers opposing his expulsion from the position.

    According to reports, Obasa has filed a motion with the State High Court’s Ikeja Division, asking for an accelerated hearing on his case.

    On January 13, 2025, while in the United States, 32 of the 40 members of the state Assembly dismissed Obasa from his post in absentia.

    Members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the main political decision-making body of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, have expressed differing views on Obasa’s removal, sparking a great deal of controversy.
