The publisher of the Ovation magazine and Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, Aare Dele Momodu has resigned from the party.

The resignation letter addressed to the Chairman, PDP Ward 4, Ihievbe, Owan East Local Government Area, Edo State, dated 17th July, 2025, Aare Momodu said he honourable abandon the carcass of the PDP to those who have hijacked it.

The resignation letter reads, “I wish to inform you of my decision to resign from our political party, PDP, with immediate effect. My reason is simple and straightforward.

“Our party has been unarguably hijacked by antidemocratic forces, from within and outside, in broad daylight.

“It is, therefore, honourable to abandon the carcass of the party to them while the majority of us earnestly sign up with the new coalition party known as the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC).

“I will forever treasure the kind support you gave me at all times.”
