Nigerian international and AC Milan winger, Samuel Chukwueze, has captured the hearts of many once again. Not with a goal on the pitch, but with a grand gesture of love, gratitude, and community upliftment. The Super Eagles star unveiled a magnificent mansion worth over N465 million for his father, Reverend John Nkasiobi Chukwueze, in their hometown of Umu Chimaelu, Okoko Item, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.

The grand unveiling ceremony, which took place recently, was attended by family members, friends, dignitaries, and locals, all celebrating the footballer’s rare act of filial devotion and community generosity.

An emotional Reverend Chukwueze, overwhelmed by his son’s kindness, tearfully recounted the family’s difficult past during an interview with ABN TV.

“I cried today because I remember when I had nothing and could not provide for my children,” he said. “I distanced myself from them, not because I didn’t love them—but because I felt ashamed that I couldn’t give them the life they deserved. Today, Samuel has brought pride, joy, and hope to this family.”

Reverend Chukwueze also shared that Samuel inherited his football talent from him, recalling his own youthful exploits on the field. “It gives me joy to see my son succeed in the same path I once dreamed of,” he said.

He urged other fathers facing hard times never to abandon their children, saying, “Your story can still change. Look at Samuel, God turned our sorrow into dancing.”

The newly completed edifice, situated on the family’s ancestral land, is a sprawling nine-bedroom mansion fitted with modern amenities, luxury fittings, and ample space for both private family life and hospitality. The house is already being hailed by community members as a “monument of hope.”

“This is more than just a house,” said a community elder. “It is a symbol that even from the humblest beginnings, greatness can rise.”

Chukwueze’s generosity did not stop at his immediate family. In a further show of compassion, the 25-year-old footballer gifted 20 brand-new tricycles (Keke NAPEP) to local youths, distributed cash donations, and awarded educational scholarships to several underprivileged individuals in the community.

The charitable actions sparked waves of celebration throughout Okoko Item and beyond, with numerous beneficiaries expressing deep gratitude for his thoughtfulness and commitment to giving back.
