Reynolds stated, “I have established a new group of trade envoys who will use their experience, skills, and knowledge to open up new markets globally for British companies, draw in investment to the UK, and eventually spur economic growth.”

Eshalomi said it was an honor to be named the UK’s Trade Envoy to Nigeria when she confirmed her appointment on X on Tuesday.

“I’m eager to strengthen my close relationship with Nigeria in order to foster a robust and prosperous economic partnership between our two magnificent countries.

“I am eager to explore opportunities for mutual growth and development between Nigeria and the United Kingdom by fortifying our relationship,” she wrote on X.
