    Barrister Bala Mohammed heads new directorate,legal services,FPI

    The Management Committee(TMC), Federal polytechnic,Idah has approved the appointment of Barrister Bala Mohammed of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities as the Acting Director, Directorate of Legal Services, of the Institution.

    A statement issued on Thursday by the Head, Public Relations & Protocol,
    Office of the Rector,S.S Omale stated that the Directorate creation, as contained in his letter signed by Abdulkadir B. Abba, Registrar & Secretary to the Governing Council of the Institution was a directive of the Governing Council at the 98th regular meeting held on 24th November, 2022. The new Directorate , is under the Office of the Rector, the letter stated.

    “Barrister Mohammed, as an Acting Director is to serve as liaison between the Management and the Legal Retainer of the Institution, keep proper records of all legal matters involving the Polytechnic as well as drafting memorandum of understanding between the Polytechnic and other parties as the need arises.

    More so, his functions include advising the Council and Management on all Legal matters, administering Oaths on staff and students as the case may be and any other assignment assigned by the Council or Management” Omale added.
