    Army Housing Estate Kurudu witnessed Large turnout of voters

    Army Housing Estate Kurudu in the Federal Capital Territary (FCT) Abuja, witnessed Large turnout of voters in the early hours of Saturday.

    The estate comprising serving, retired generals and their civilian counterparts had about six polling units.

    Residents of the estate trooped out in their large numbers as early as 7am to wait for the take off   of the voting exercise even before the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission arrival to begin the exercise.

    A general who preferred anonymous expressed optimism that the election would certainly produce a president that would take this country to the next level.

    According to him, the zeal

     demonstrated by the electorate at the presidential poll is an indication that Nigerians are indeed yearning for a change of government.

    Meanwhile, there was no hitches experienced in either of the polling units visited by New National Star during exercise.

    The same experience was witnessed at the polling unit located at the Police Housing Estate Kurudu known as Unit 033.

    There was orderliness noticed at the unit while voting was going on.

    Also at the polling units located at Azate ward numbering about six polling units there was large crowd voters that showed much zeal to perform their civic rights.

    The voters waited patiently to locate their numbers as display on the board and queued to cast their votes.

    INEC official in the area assured our reporter that not minding the crowd waiting to cast their votes, they would meet the 2.30 pm deadline scheduled to end voting.
