Olawale Rasheed, spokesperson to the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has provided clarification on his principal’s visit to Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State. Rasheed refuted reports suggesting that Adeleke went to beg Makinde during their meeting last Friday.

According to Adeleke’s aide, there was no reason for his principal to plead or beg Makinde. The meeting between the two governors centered around discussing issues related to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South West region.

Rasheed explained that Adeleke visited the Oyo State Government House lodge in Abuja to observe the renovation work there. Osun State also has plans to renovate its government lodge, and during the visit, they took the opportunity to discuss PDP matters in the region with Makinde.

He emphasized that there was no instance of Adeleke prostrating or begging Makinde during their meeting. The meeting was conducted openly in the living room, and photographs were taken in the presence of other attendees.

Rasheed urged PDP members in the South West to disregard the fake news and focus on ensuring the success of the forthcoming zonal meeting for the party’s benefit.
