The high point of the event being the raising of 10 millionaires, as Engr. Akagburuonye issued a N1million cheque to ten lucky members for them to start business or augment their existing one, even as he asked them to pledge to invest back in the kingdom with their increase.

Referencing Luke 6:38 and Deuteronomy 8:18, the real estate mogul revealed that investing in the kingdom business is the secret of his wealth and prosperity. He said that he asked God to make him a battle axe to change the poverty-striking narratives of Assemblies of God Church.

In an emotion-laden account, Barr. Success Akagburuonye narrated how a former Senator wanted to usurp the land of the Assemblies of God Church in Edo State for mere reason that the church in the said location had remained stagnant for decades with no sign of capacity to develop the property, if not for his intervention. But he noted that all those have changed with the lifting God has given him.

He has changed the face of Assemblies of God Church in Nigeria by constructing and renovating churches and other facilities, sowing into the lives of Ministers and empowering the members. The latest being the construction of one of the best Church auditoriums in Nigeria, called ‘The Noah’s Ark Church’ in his local district in Ogbor Uvuru, Mbaise, Imo State.

Chief Akagburuonye, who recalled how God raised him from grass to grace described his kingdom investment pattern as ecumenical, given that beyond Assemblies of God Church he also sows into other churches. He pledged to raise up to 20 millionaires in Assemblies of God Church at every Easter retreat beginning from this year 2025.

Some beneficiaries of this year’s empowerment expressed their gratitude to Barr. Success Akagburuonye with a promise to invest back for the kingdom work.

Akujobi Osinachi, one of the beneficiaries told our reporter, “I feel happy and thankful to the benefactor – I pray God to bless him more and more.”

Another beneficiary, David, promised to utilize the money well and invest back in the work of God.

On politics, Barr. Success Akagburuonye made case for believers to engage in politics to “help salvage the land and not to be complaining.” He said that he had established a foundation known as ‘Believers of the Gospel Care Foundation’ with the aim of encouraging and sponsoring believers into various political positions.

Consequently, he called on members who are interested contesting elections into the State House of Assembly, Local Government Chairmanship and Councillorship to indicate, promising to sponsor those that possess the necessary qualities to winning elections.

Earlier in his sermon, Rev. Levi Ekeoma, speaking on a message he titled ‘Unique Sacrifice’, recalled how Jesus Christ paid a unique sacrifice for mankind on the Cross of Calvary. He praised Engr. Success Akagburuonye for the sacrifice of investing in God’s Kingdom and humanity, even as the Church prayed for him for God’s sustained favour, protection and good health.
