AFCON 2025Q: Benin coach Rohr intends to take advantage of Super Eagles’ weak defense

    Published on

Ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match on matchday five, Gernot Rohr, the head coach of the Benin Republic, has pinpointed the Super Eagles’ weakness.

The Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan will host the Cheetahs on Thursday to amuse their neighbors.

After four games, Rohr’s team has six points, good for second place in Group D.

Their prospects of making it to the AFCON 2025 finals are increased if they defeat the Super Eagles.

“They will try to take advantage of the Super Eagles’ weak defense,” the German said.

We are really interested in Lenny Piringuel’s comeback since he is beginning to establish himself with his new club, Rouen, and his energy.

“In particular, against a Nigerian squad that can have minor defensive issues, we hope,” Rohr was quoted by Mega Sports.
