Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has congratulated the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, on his 74th birthday.
In a goodwill message issued on Sunday, Governor Soludo described Bishop Ezeokafor as a distinguished servant of God and humanity whose decades of priestly service have made significant contributions to the spiritual and social development of Anambra State.
Soludo commended the Bishop for his pastoral dedication, wisdom and commitment to peace, unity and development.
The Governor noted that Bishop Ezeokafor, who was ordained a priest in 1984 and served as Auxiliary Bishop of Awka Diocese from 2007 to 2011 before becoming the substantive Bishop, had continued to provide exemplary leadership to the Catholic faithful and the wider society.
According to him, the Bishop remains a respected spiritual father and a strong moral voice whose leadership has enriched the faith community and contributed to the wellbeing of the people.
Soludo prayed that God would continue to bless Bishop Ezeokafor with robust health, strength, wisdom and grace to enable him serve God and humanity for many more years.
He wished the Bishop a joyful birthday celebration and continued fulfilment in his ministry.
