‎The All Progressives Congress (APC) has celebrated the first anniversary of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda as National Chairman, saying his leadership has restored internal unity and repositioned the party for victory in the 2027 general elections.

‎In a statement issued on Sunday by the Chairman’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Yusuf Dingyadi, the party said Yilwatda had transformed the APC into a more united, disciplined and forward-looking platform within one year.

‎According to the statement, Yilwatda assumed office at a challenging period but immediately embarked on rebuilding confidence through reconciliation, consultation and institutional reforms.

‎“Within one year of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda’s leadership, the APC has witnessed remarkable progress in strengthening internal democracy, fostering reconciliation among members and repositioning the party for greater electoral success,” the statement read.

‎The party said the National Chairman promoted an inclusive leadership style that enhanced cooperation within the National Working Committee, party elders and stakeholders across the country.

‎It added that this approach resulted in greater unity and renewed confidence in the party nationwide.

‎The statement noted that the reconciliation of aggrieved members and the restoration of internal harmony had significantly strengthened the APC at all levels.

‎It also highlighted reforms at the party’s National Secretariat, saying administrative processes had become more transparent, accountable and efficient under Yilwatda.

‎“Our National Secretariat is now operating with improved efficiency, transparency and accountability, while party structures at the ward, local government and state levels have been revitalised to better serve our members,” the statement added.

‎The APC expressed optimism that with the progress recorded in the last 12 months, the party is better positioned to consolidate its hold on power and secure another electoral victory in 2027.
