The Emir of Argungu, His Royal Highness Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammadu Mera, is representing Kebbi State at a global conference themed “Demographic Dividends for Africa: Actions and Investments,” currently taking place at Wilton Park, Surrey, United Kingdom.
The high-level conference has attracted a wide range of influential participants from around the world.
The Emir is participating as a representative of Traditional and Community Leaders under the Sultan Foundation Platform, with sponsorship from the Kebbi State Government.
Speaking at the event, the Emir described the conference as a valuable opportunity to showcase the critical role traditional and religious leaders can play in promoting and mobilising support for initiatives of global and national significance.
“This platform allows us to not only share our experiences but also to learn from what other countries and regions are doing to advance healthcare, education, skills development, and job creation in response to their growing populations,” he said.
The Emir expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, for facilitating his participation through state sponsorship.
“This gesture reflects the Governor’s deep respect and high regard for traditional and religious institutions,” he noted.
