After a 31-year wait, the 1994 African Nations Cup winning set of the Super Eagles have finally received the Federal Government offer of houses to appreciate their feat in the continental championship in Tunisia.
The letter for the house units’ allocations, which was presented to the Nigerian football heroes by the Director and Head of Department, Public Building and Housing Development, Pemi Temitope, on behalf of the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, described the move as part of the government’s commitment to rewarding the patriotic service of the team, which brought honour to the nation three decades ago.
The Housing units were however allocated to members of the team in various states, while some, like Ekoku, are receiving theirs in Abuja.
