Kamala Harris Responds to Ex US President Joe Biden’s Prostate Cancer Diagnosis

    Published on

After former President Joe Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis was announced, former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris publicly expressed her support and best wishes for him.

According to a statement from his personal office, the 81-year-old former president has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

Known for having a high Gleason score, this cancer has apparently migrated to the bone but is still responsive to hormone therapy, which doctors say can be successfully treated with the correct care.

Biden’s medical staff is presently discussing treatment options with his family.

Following the release of the news, Harris posted a message on 𝕏 expressing her condolences and support for both herself and her spouse, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.

She called the president a “fighter” and said she was sure he would handle this diagnosis with his typical tenacity.

Harris said on 𝕏, “Doug and I are saddened to learn of President Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis.”

“During this time, we are sending our thoughts and prayers to him, Dr. Biden, and their whole family.

She wished for “a full and speedy recovery,” saying, “Joe is a fighter — and I know he will face this challenge with the same strength, resilience, and optimism that have always defined his life and leadership.”
