The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has published a detailed statistical report on the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.

The report provides an in-depth overview of how Nigerian candidates performed in the nationwide exam.

JAMB revealed that out of the 1,955,069 candidates who took the 2025 UTME, more than 1.5 million scored below 200.

However, the Board noted that 4,756 candidates achieved scores above 320, while 7,658 scored between 300 and 319.

Additionally, the statement highlighted that 40,247 underage candidates were allowed to participate to showcase their extraordinary talents. Of these, only 467 candidates (1.16%) met the UTME’s benchmark for exceptional performance, with their evaluation in the remaining three assessment stages still ongoing.
