Meeting Chris Brown changed my life – Davido

    Published on

According to Afrobeats musician Davido, American R&B singer Chris Brown had a big influence on his career.

The “Blow My Mind” hitmaker claimed that meeting Breezy in 2018 helped his career take off.
In a recent episode of the Bagfuel Brigade podcast, Davido recounted his initial meeting with Chris Brown.

“My life changed when I met Chris Brown,” he remarked. In 2018, I got to know him. One of his closest pals was from Nigeria.

My song was playing in the background when my friend phoned me on Facetime one day. I asked him where he was, and he replied that he was at Chris Brown’s house. “What?” I thought. Are you all listening to my music? Chris was dancing to my music when he showed me.

We spoke for the first time when he handed Chris Brown the phone. I traveled to America and connected with Chris a few months later. We instantly clicked as buddies the moment we met.
