US: ‘It’s time for the virus mind to die’ – Elon Musk slams transgender Americans

    Published on

Elon Musk, a tech billionaire from the United States, has made fun of transgender people by stating, “It’s time for the virus mind to die.”

In a succinct statement, Elon Musk, the head of the Department of Government Efficiency under President Donald Trump’s administration, responded to a Centers for Disease Control Behavioural Risk Surveillance Survey on the growing number of transgender adults in the United States.

According to the poll data revealed on X Sunday by a popular American author, John LeFerre, US adults identifying as transgender rose by year of birth.

According to the data, adults who identify as transgender have been steadily increasing, particularly those who were born between 1990 and 2005.

Musk responded by calling the movement a “woke mind virus in action.”

He posted on his X account, “It’s time for the mind virus to die now.”

His remarks follow a harsh attitude taken by Trump’s government against transgender individuals since the start of his second term in January 2025.

In February 2025, Trump issued an executive order prohibiting biological men from participating in women’s sports.

In a related event, the UK Supreme Court decided on Wednesday that biological sex is what is meant by “woman” in the country’s equality statute.

Parts of transgender protests had been triggered by the verdict.
