“May our armed forces be blessed by God”  Bukina Faso President, Traoré

As Christians celebrate Easter this year, Burkina Faso’s military president, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, has offered his congratulations.

This was revealed by Traoré in a message released on Sunday via his X account.

“The Christian faithful celebrate the Resurrection of Christ today after forty days of spiritual effort and deprivation,” he stated.

“May divine favors accompany our fighting forces in the defense of our homeland, our dignity, and our sovereignty,” the military leader continued.

“To the Christians in Burkina Faso and around the world, happy Christian Day.”

His remarks coincide with Sunday’s Easter celebrations for Christians.

Remember that since September 2022, Traoré has been in charge.

On April 7, 2025, the ruler made a suggestion that no nation can grow under democracy.
