Nigerians have been urged to imbibe the spirit of Easter exemplified by love, unity and forgiveness of one another.
This was stated by Engr. Aliyu Tukur Tahir, FNSE, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) and Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation (CEIF) in his Easter message to the staff of the Agency on Sunday in Abuja
In the message he personally signed , Engr Aliyu praised the staff for their hard work and dedication to duty and urged them not to relent
His Words: “As we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, I extend my warmest greetings to our Christian brothers and sisters, the NEMSA family and indeed, Nigerians.
“Easter is an important period in Christendom. It epitomizes the Christian belief in Jesus Christ’s resurrection signifying His triumph over death and offering hope for eternal life. It is also a celebration of God’s love and sacrifice of Jesus and a reminder of the need for humility and forgiveness of one another.”, he said
The Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation reminded the workers of the importance of unity, love, forgiveness, resilience and dedication to work and urged them not to relent.
“Your tireless efforts to ensure the sustenance of safe, secure and reliable electricity supply to Nigerians are truly appreciated. Let us continue to uphold these virtues in our work and remain steadfast in our commitment to hardwork, excellence, accountability, and nation-building.
“I also urge you to continue to remember our leaders and the nation in your prayers for us to have a country where electricity is safe, reliable and stable for use by all. Together, we can make Nigeria great.
“May the spirit of Easter inspire us to continue working together towards a more inclusive and secure environment for our nation. Wishing you all a blessed and joyous Easter Celebration.
Furthermore, Engr. Aliyu assured the Federal government and Nigerians of the Agency’s commitment to implementing its mandate of ensuring the enforcement of Technical Standards and Regulations, Technical Inspection, Testing and Certification of all Electrical Installations, Electricity Meters and Instruments to ensure an efficient production and delivery of safe, reliable and sustainable electricity power supply and guarantee safety of lives and property in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry and other allied industries in Nigeria.
