In a statement praising Nigerian musician Davido, British monarch King Charles III said he fell in love with Pidgin English because of his music.

When King Charles next travels to Nigeria, he says he would really like to speak Pidgin.

The King’s Music Room, a brand-new Apple Music program that debuted on Monday, revealed this information.

During the performance, he revealed his wide range of musical preferences, citing Davido’s song “Kante,” which features Fave, as one of his favorites.

“I now adore the Pidgin language because of Davido.” The next time I’m in Nigeria, I’d like to discuss it. Thanks to Afrobeats, it’s becoming more popular around the world,” Charles III stated.

Davido acknowledged the royal family by reposting the video on his Instagram story.
