Katsina nightclubs are prohibited by Hisbah

    Published on

Citing Islamic beliefs and the need to protect moral values, the Katsina State Hisbah Board has prohibited all nightclub activities throughout the state.

This was announced in a statement released in Katsina on Wednesday by Aminu Usman (Abu Ammar), the Hisbah Commander-General.

According to Usman, nightclub owners must close their doors in order to stop unethical behavior, uphold social norms, and solve security issues in the state.

The board forewarned that those who violated the rules would suffer severe consequences. Security firms have been directed to make sure the directive is followed to the letter.

Usman declared, “We are dedicated to establishing a society that upholds moral principles and guaranteeing peace and security in Katsina State.”

He claims that in order to properly implement the decision, the board has notified the state Commissioner for Internal Security and other pertinent security organizations.

The action, he continued, is in keeping with Hisbah’s larger initiatives to guarantee that citizens continue to live their lives in accordance with moral and religious principles.
