    Iran: We will not back down from defending our nuclear program

    Iran declared on Monday that it would not think twice about defending its nuclear program and would do so in the future.

    Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokeswoman for Iran’s foreign ministry, made this statement one day after the US and Israel pledged to stop Iran’s nuclear aspirations.

    According to Iran’s rights as a signatory to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, “Iran’s peaceful nuclear program is ongoing, and has been for the last three decades, and we definitely won’t show any weakness in this regard,” he stated.

    Remember how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared Sunday that Israel and the United States were committed to thwarting Iran’s nuclear aspirations and its influence in the Middle East during a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Jerusalem?

    “Iran is responsible for all terrorist organizations, violent crimes, destabilizing activities, and anything that jeopardizes peace and stability for the millions of people who live in this region,” Rubio stated.
