    Former Minister Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye Makes a Comeback to Nollywood

    After her time in politics, she officially returned to the entertainment sector with the film, which she produced and released on her YouTube channel.

    Kennedy-Ohanenye and four other cabinet members were dismissed of their positions on October 23, 2024, following her appointment as a minister by President Bola Tinubu on August 21, 2023.

    The 51-year-old has returned to her lifelong love of filmmaking since leaving the government.

    Prior to entering politics, Kennedy-Ohanenye made appearances in a number of well-known Nollywood productions. Among her earlier creations are:

    1.  Hunting the Angel

    2.  Royal Ploy

    3.  Saving My Marriage

    4.  The Cow Girls

    She has established herself in the Nigerian film industry by collaborating with well-known professionals like Francis Duru, Linda Osifo, Ngozi Ezeonu, and Segun Arinze.

    Kennedy-Ohanenye is a skilled lawyer, businesswoman, and politician in addition to being an actor and filmmaker.

    Prior to resigning for Tinubu, she became the first female member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to proclaim her intention to run for president in the 2023 elections. She joined the party in 2015.
