Nigeria Faces Another National Grid Collapse, Plunging Country into Darkness

    Published on

Nigeria has once again been plunged into darkness following the collapse of the national grid on Wednesday afternoon. The collapse, which occurred at approximately 2:06 pm, marks another setback for the country’s power sector.

This incident comes after multiple grid failures in October, despite the Federal Government’s assurances of a permanent solution to the ongoing crisis.

A post on the official social media account of Nigeria’s national grid confirmed the collapse, stating, “The major grid setback has occurred and restoration is to commence.”

Efforts to restore power are already underway, but the recurrence of grid failures highlights the pressing challenges facing Nigeria’s energy infrastructure.
