The National Publicity Secretary of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Abubakar Yusuf, has said there is no division in the party.
Yusuf stated this while reacting to actions of the party’s chairmen in the South South geopolitical zone on Thursday.
He said the South South zonal town hall meeting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, was a huge success with a large turnout of supporters.
He noted that Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, spent most of his working career in Niger Delta states and married from the area, describing his visit as homecoming.
”We are emboldened with the appreciation of the people of the South-South to welcome home their own with huge support base,” he said.
Yusuf explained that Makinde worked in Edo, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Rivera States, so the region is not new terrain to him.
While debunking claims by South-South APM chairmen, he said the issue was misinformation within the party taken too far.
”There is no problem about the action of the chairmen, we agreed to disagree even though they have gone too far, it will be resolved,” he said.
Yusuf assured that the Reset Agenda of the party’s presidential candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde, remains on course.
He said the party will not retract, retreat nor surrender in its mission to rescue the country from poverty, hardship and maladministration.
