    “I’ve been fighting kidney disease for 12 years,” Nollywood actress Ufuoma McDermott says

    In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwu, the actress stated that her health condition prevents her from affording to gain weight.

    According to Ufuoma, she was also given a Stage 3 renal illness diagnosis last year and advised to relax and slow down at work. However, she believed she had more time and bargained with her physicians.

    The actress stated that she overstressed her body in spite of her physicians’ warnings, and she was soon given a Stage 4 kidney disease diagnosis.

    Ufuoma claimed that because of what had occurred to her brother, he had considered passing away.

    The movie star went on to say that her life altered after she recovered from Stage 4 renal disease.

    Ngozi Nwosu, a seasoned Nollywood actress, has said that she will not provide free services to her native Abia on account of a lack of support during her health issues.

    The 61-year-old actress made this resolute decision when the Abia state government ignored her during a critical health problem in 2012, she revealed in a recent interview with Nollywood on Radio.

    Nwosu, who suffered from kidney disease, said she has since promised that the state would pay a significant amount for any future procedures.

    “I have personally stated that I will go for free for anything my state calls me for.

    “They would pay exorbitant prices to have me present. “I’m from Abia state’s Arochukwu local government,” she said.

    Nwosu also revealed that a woman who called her her “favourite actress” helped the Lagos state government provide her with crucial support throughout her health issues.
