    Lagos Airport: EFCC re-arrests Bobrisky

    Published on

Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, is a controversial crossdresser and social media figure who was detained again by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at Lagos’s Murtala Mohammed International Airport.

Bobrisky was freed on bail by Nigerian police officials a few days prior to this arrest.

Bobrisky was set to take a flight to London on Thursday night when the spectacular arrest occurred.

According to witnesses, Nigerian officials stopped the aircraft just before departure and led the socialite away in front of other travelers.

Shortly after the event, the troubled Bobrisky posted on Instagram, saying, “Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me.” I have serious injuries.

He was allegedly trying to flee the nation when he was arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) at the Seme border last week.

Following the release of an audio tape in which Bobrisky purportedly stated that he was allowed to serve his six-month imprisonment sentence outside of Kirikiri prison because of “influential connections,” the crossdresser has become the subject of an investigation.
