With 389,800 viewers overall, Nigerian musician David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has shattered the record for the most-watched TikTok live stream in Africa.

On Wednesday, October 30, he beat the record while co-hosting a livestream with TikTok celebrities Jo Blaq, Jarvis, and Peller.

At the same time, more than 164,000 individuals viewed the live stream. More than 377 lion gifts were sent to Davido on TikTok. It cost $400 per lion. He disclosed that Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq, the co-hosts, would receive the funds.

In the past, Peller was the African TikTok live stream with the highest viewership. During a session with singer Tiwa Savage, he set the mark that Davido later broke.
