President Bola Tinubu sent the cabinet nominees to the upper legislative body, and the Nigerian Senate has begun the vetting process.
In order to allow for sufficient preparation, the screening of the nominees was rescheduled from Tuesday to Wednesday.
At precisely 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, the Senate started the screening. Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda of Plateau State is the first of the seven nominees named on the Order Paper for screening. The others are Suwaiba Said Ahmad, Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, and Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi.
