One benchmark highlighted the importance of instilling in children the understanding that all Nigerians worship the same God, fostering unity amidst diversity. Reference was made to historical efforts in promoting ecumenical unity, urging a return to such approaches.

Another benchmark underscored the imperative of fulfilling the national pledge on education for all, addressing the significant challenges facing Nigeria’s educational system and the alarming number of out-of-school children.

Furthermore, the discussions delved into the regional context, examining the decline of governance across West Africa and the resurgence of coups d’état. The need to dismantle French neo-colonialism in Francophone countries emerged as a crucial agenda.

The role of leadership in driving comprehensive reforms and institutional transformation was also emphasized. It was noted that effective leadership is essential to navigate the complexities of governance and mobilize the country’s potential for development.
