Ahmed Musa Responds to Controversy Surrounding Gesture Towards Governor Abba Kabir

In a recent statement, Ahmed Musa addresses the unexpected attention garnered by a moment captured almost a month ago, expressing disappointment at the exaggerated focus on a simple act of cultural respect.

Musa clarifies that his intention was to show the highest form of respect in Northern culture through gestures like kneeling and shaking hands, which he extended to the Deputy Governor. However, when greeting Governor Abba Kabir, he chose to bow as a sign of honor deeply rooted in tradition.

He laments the diversion of attention from pressing national issues such as economic hardships, security challenges, and religious clashes, with even national media outlets like ARISE TV contributing to the distraction.

Musa finds it disheartening that his respectfulness has been questioned, particularly by those unfamiliar with him personally, and urges everyone to refocus their energy on finding solutions to societal problems rather than engaging in needless distractions.

He calls for collective efforts towards addressing real issues, promoting unity, and striving for a better future for all. Musa concludes by emphasizing the importance of focusing on what truly matters and fostering cultural respect and unity in diversity.
