The Women Wing, Nnobi Welfare Organization (Inyom Nnobi) has been tasked to invest on the education of the girl-child adding that educating a girl child implies educating a nation.

Inyom Nnobi also launched an Almanac which contained the commissioning pictures of a completed Nylon factory, Potable water borehole with overhead tanks and ultramodern toilet facilities which were established during the tenure of the outgoing Lady Grace Ugoigwe(Ugochinyerenwanyi) led executives.

Speaking during the 2022 Inyom Nnobi Women Summit which held at Central School Umuru, Nnobi, Idemili South Local Government Area (ISLGA), Anambra State, the ISLGA Transition Chairman, Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Idemili) said that gone were days when women were neglected.

Mrs Obi who also represented the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Idemili North and South Federal constituency, Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu(Ike Cubana) noted that women play vital roles in the family and soceity at large.

“Educate a man,you educated one person but educate a woman, you educated a generation. Women are not inferior to men. They are capable of sharing both family, political and socio-economic responsibilities as men.

“The progress of a nation depends upon the way mothers raise their children in the ways of the Lord teaching them good morals and how to become responsible citizens.

” This can happen when the girl-child is well educated, acquires certain skills, is economically empowered and given equal opportunity as their male counterparts”, said Mrs Obi.

She further pleaded with the women to continue praying for Solution Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State who had started constructing roads in less than four months in office urging them to vote massively for APGA candidates during upcoming elections.

Moreover, the Inyom Nnobi President, Lady Grace Ugoigwe after thanking the women for their support during the last four years of her leadership prayed that the administration coming after them would achieve more feats.

“We undertook projects worth millions of naira. We established a Nylon factory near Nnobi Town Hall, constructed water borehole and modern toilets at Afor Nnobi market with the help of Illustrious sons of Nnobi,”said Lady Ugoigwe.

The trio of Mrs Ngozi Ezeimo, Mrs Patricia Ezenabo(College Umuagbala) and Chief Mrs Ifeyinwa Nnekwelugo(Odiukonamba Nnobi) who were the Women Quarters leaders of Ngo, Ebenesi and Awuda Quarters respectively eulogized the sponso of the projects.

“Nnobi women shall ever remain grateful to God and our dearly beloved Chief Emeka Agbanari (Ike Nnobi) who single handedly sponsored the Nylon factory with over 7million naira.

“We also thank Igwe Engr. Nich Obi and wife Ocheze Barr. Clara Obi, Anambra Assemblyman, Hon Chuka Ezenwunne and others for making these laudable projects which has employed some Nnobi women a reality.

“We encourage Inyom Nnobi to support the incoming administration the way they supported us so that they can purchase a land and construct a befitting Inyom Nnobi town hall where we can be using for our women summit instead of staying at an open field,” they said.

Highlights of the summit include launching of almanac and Cultural dressing competition cum fashion parade which saw Mrs Ngozi Okwuejiofor of Awuda winning 1st position while Mrs Ginika Nwaigwe of Ebenesi and Mrs Chinwe Nwenyi of Ngo took second and third position respectively.
