    Oil & Gas Monitor Publisher, Rasaq Ogunfuyi, Is dead

    Ogunfuyi was the second Nigerian veteran energy journalist to have died in the last 67 days.

    The Publisher, Oil and gas Monitor magazine, Mr. Rasaq Ogunfuyi, is dead, Platforms Africa reports.

    Ugo Amadi, Vice chairman of National Association of Energy Correspondents (NAEC), a group which Ogunfuyi was a member, confirmed this in a terse message on Thursday.

    “It’s with a heavy heart we announce the passing to glory of our distinguished member. Mr Rasaq Ogunfuyi, An energy expert. Goodnight brother, we will miss you,” Amadu wrote.

    Platforms Africa reports that Ogunfuyi was the second veteran energy journalist and member of NAEC to have died in the last two months.

    Dr. Samuel Ibiyemi, publishern of Nigerian NewsDirect, another veteran energy journalist, died on July 14, 67 days ago.
