    Rejecting Military Rule and Advancing Democracy in West Africa

    Recent events emphasize the importance of standing united against military rule in West Africa. While no democracy is flawless, military intervention is not the solution to our challenges.

    Surprisingly, there is a growing wave of support for military rule among young people, driven by frustration with the political class. However, instead of resorting to military solutions, we must focus on improving our democratic institutions.

    Though our democracy may have imperfections, abandoning it is not the answer. We should strive to make it better by actively engaging in the democratic process and advocating for positive changes.

    Together, we can overcome challenges and progress towards a more inclusive democracy. Let us firmly reject military rule and work collectively for a brighter future in West Africa.
