    9mobile network changes name amid downturn

    In a strategic move to survive business crisis and reposition for fair market share the embattled Nigerian mobile network operator, 9mobile has changed its name to T2.
    9mobile Chief Executive Officer, Obafemi Banigbe, made this known at an event in Lagos said that the unveiling was a new era for the firm.
    “We are no longer who we were; we are becoming something greater, more ambitious, and more in tune with the future,” he said.
    The telco In 2017 bought over Etisalat and the named change to 9mobile was effected.
    The mobile network with the fewest subscribers in Nigeria has continued to suffer from management crises and low quality of service in the last 8 years.
