Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has urged continued support for President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and his own re-election bid in 2027, stressing that unity between federal and state governments is key to sustained peace and progress.
Speaking through Commissioners Rt. Hon. Aniekan Umanah (Information) and Rt. Hon. Dr. Henry Archibong (Housing) at the flag-off of a Youth-Friendly Centre in Uruan Local Government Area, Governor Eno said the partnership with the Tinubu administration was already yielding results in job creation and youth empowerment.
“Our collaboration with the Federal Government under President Tinubu is producing results. We are creating jobs, building skills, and giving our youths a fair chance at a better future,” Eno said.
The project, one of eleven pilot Youth-Friendly Centres under the ARISE Youth-Friendly Hubs Initiative, is part of the ARISE Agenda’s drive for wealth creation and youth development.
Governor Eno said the centres will provide safe, creative spaces across all 31 LGAs featuring co-working areas, ICT hubs, innovation labs, and free internet services.
“These hubs are engines of creativity and innovation. We want to raise job creators, not job seekers,” he declared.
Commending Uruan for donating land for the project, Eno said the initiative reflects his administration’s inclusive governance and commitment to the youth.
Dignitaries including Senator Aniekan Bassey (represented by Dr. Eventus Edem), Dr. Itorobong Etim (Member representing Uruan in the State House of Assembly), and the Paramount Ruler of Uruan, Edidem Cosmas Nkanga, lauded the governor’s vision.
The project contractor, Wefix Services Ltd., promised to complete the project within three months.
