    2025 Akwa Ibom football league draws hold in Uyo

    The stage is officially set for the 2025 Akwa Ibom State Football League as the draws were conducted on Wednesday, revealing an exciting path to the state’s grassroots football crown and tickets to the Nationwide League playoff. Sixteen teams are poised to battle across four groups for a shot at the championship, in what promises to be a thrilling Akwa Ibom State League season.

    The League will feature 27 matches in total, including the group stage and Super Four Playoffs for the top team in each group.

    Group A: Eagle Eyes Academy, 7th Wonders Academy, Metro FC, Royal Prince FC

    Group B: Blackpool Academy, Jubilee FC, Murphy FC, Gilgal FC

    Group C: Immortality FC, Okon Eket FC, Palm Tigers, Dynamic Stars FC

    Group D: VIFA, Full Life FC, Pillars Sport FC, Pillars Investors FC

    The top two teams from the league will proceed to the promotion playoffs into the NLO.

    Participating Teams are: Okon Eket FC, Pillars Sport FC, Pillars Investors FC, 7th Wonders Academy, Gilgal FC, Royal Prince FC, Jubilee FC, Metro FC, Eagle Eyes Academy, VIFA, Murphy FC, Immortality FC, Full Life FC, Blackpool Academy, Palm Tigers, Dynamic Stars FC.

    The league will kick off on July 11, 2025, with four matches scheduled for Friday and Saturday in a bid to meet the July 31 NLO deadline for submission of State representatives for the promotion playoffs. The venue for all matches is the Uyo Township Stadium.
