    2024: GOV Aiyedatiwa Receives PDP Members Into APC In Ese-Odo

    ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on Sunday received hundreds of members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ese Odo local government area of the State.

    The defection ceremony took place during an APC stakeholders meeting hosted by prominent Niger Delta leader and businessman, Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube, at Arogbo community.

    During the event, the Governor said the continous movement of new members into the APC was a testament to the growing confidence in his administration and APC’s vision for the development of Ondo State.

    Addressing the new members, Governor Aiyedatiwa said: “Your decision to join the APC is a clear indication of your belief in our mission to transform Ondo State. This is not just a political decision, it is a step towards ensuring that our state continues on the path of progress and development. I want to assure you all that you are now part of a family where everyone’s voice counts, and your contributions will be key as we approach the November 16 election.

    “This is a crucial time for our state, and I urge you all to join hands with us. Together, we can secure a bright future for Ondo State by ensuring that our party, the APC, continues to lead with integrity and dedication.”

    Governor Aiyedatiwa also took the opportunity to announce several key initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for the people in Ese Odo.

    Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Mr. Isreal Timi Emokenighan, a former PDP stalwart, expressed his gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for the warm welcome into the APC fold.

    “Today marks a significant turning point for us as we bid farewell to the PDP and fully embrace the progressive ideals of the APC. We are committed to mobilizing grassroots support and working tirelessly to ensure the success of the APC in the upcoming election.

    “Our decision to leave the PDP was driven by a deep desire for real change and development in Ese Odo, and we believe that under the leadership of Governor Aiyedatiwa, we can achieve this”, he said.

    Earlier, in his welcome address, Chairman of Arogbo LCDA, High Chief Caleb Molos, highlighted the significance of the governor’s visit, calling it a historic moment for the people of Arogbo community.

    He said: “We stand firmly behind you as we approach the coming election, and you can count on our unwavering support in Arogbo LCDA.”

    In a goodwill message, the host of the meeting, Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube, praised Governor Aiyedatiwa as a true son of Arogbo Kingdom, declaring that Ese-Odo local government stands in his support.

    “Governor Aiyedatiwa is one of our own, and there is no other party for us but the APC. On behalf of the entire Ese Odo Local Government, I assure you of our full support and 100 percent of our votes come November 16”, he said.

    The event was attended by a member of the House of Representatives representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo federal constituency, Hon Donald Ojogo, members of the State Executive Council and other leaders of the APC.
